Charles Light Perkins, born, May 23, 1978, at Stanford, Palo Alto, passed away at the age of , 46, on, August 4, 2024, in Phoenix, AZ. Charles honorably served in the US Navy and the US Army, preformed In six deployments, was injured as part of the Airborne training units, engaged in critical operations that remain largely unrecognized. His commitment to his country and the sacrifices he made exemplify the courage and dedication of our military forces.
A member of the Orthodox Church Charles acted out his faith. Charles made the world a better place bit by bit. His kindness to others and knowledge of the Bible made his friends want to love God more.
Charles had a profound love for horses, a vocation that brought him immense joy and tranquility. This passion allowed him to connect with nature and share joyful moments with his friends and family across the country.
He is survived by his sons, River and Simon. Their mother and her partner have faithfully and will continue to be a steadfast strength in their lives.
Charles is a an example of a human soldier living with PTSD, brain injury and cervical mid back unrelieved as are many of his buddies.
