He was predeceased by: his siblings, Fred, Sam and Dora Stewart. He is survived by: his former wife Mary Ann McGarity (Holt); his children, Cindy (Mike Catron), Darryl McGarity (Beau Hickman), Duane McGarity (Edlyn), Danny McGarity (Jamie) and Donny McGarity (Carish); his wife Venita McGarity (Matheny); and his stepchildren, Ronna Cook and Quintin Matheny.
