He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidonia Tagatz and Edwin Tagatz; his wife Penny Tagatz; and his sons, Mark, Dan, Jeff and Jerry.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dawn Tagatz and Laurie Nowak; his nephew Brad Tagatz; and his grandchildren, Paul Nowak, Amber Nowak-Heiser, Delaney Nowak, Sidney Nowak and James Heiser.
