She was predeceased by: her parents, Pablo Aguilar and Guadalupe Aguilar; and her siblings, Gilbert, Joe, Louis, Pascual Aguilar and Lorenza Contreras.
She is survived by: her husband Daniel Lopez Ortiz; her children, Daniel Jr., Anthony, David, Maria Elena Voiland (Ortiz) and Diana Grimm (Ortiz); and her siblings, Mary Adame, Librada Regan, Lupe Aguilar, Refugio and Paul Aguilar. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The family requests donations may be made in Rafaela's name to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
