He was predeceased by: his father Paul Baka; and his stepfather Harley Ekvall. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Baka (Sanregret); his sons, Keith Baka, Kyle Williams and Nathan Williams; his mother Diane Ekvall (Leitheiser); his sister Jackie Caplinger (Baka); his brother-in-law Roger Caplinger; his brother Mark Baka; and his sister-in-law Sheila Baka. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
