She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Oliver Solms and Grace Eleanor Solms (Purnell); her husband Eugene Cosby Hill, Jr.; her children, Curtis Earl Hill and Janet Louise Rodriguez; and her granddaughter Robin Rodriguez.

She is survived by: her sons, Ron Hill (Leslie) of Yuba City and Larry Hill of Worland, Wyoming.; her grandchildren, Rick Rodriguez, Wendy Sundin (Troy), Lori Faccio (Toby), Karen Scott (Christopher), Kerri Hatler, Erica Mills, Amy Taylor, Travis Hill (Melissa), Lawrence Hill (Joy), Kari Barr (Kim) and Kami (Rance); and also, Dustin Hill (Kristin) and Caleb Hill (Esmeralda). She is also survived by 26 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.

“Our dear colleague and friend of many years has passed, but Eleanor will never be forgotten! She touched the lives of so many children. She was a dedicated educator for many years, spending many hours, planning lessons that met the needs of her students. More than that she touched their lives with her kind and caring manner. As a new teacher, she took me under her wing, and taught me strategies. I will see her again as she loved the Lord , but I am missing her!”
