It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dawn M. Schmieg of Peoria, Arizona, born in Shakopee, Minnesota, who passed away on May 28, 2021, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Doug Kalkes. She is survived by: her mother Mary Danner (Bednarczyk); her boyfriend Chris Grasso of Peoria; her children, Tony Schmieg (Nicole), Katie Schultz (Shane) of Carver, Tim Schmieg (Abbie Boerner) of Chaska and Jesse Schmieg (Mollie) of Eden Prairie; her grandchildren, Shane Schmieg, Lucas Schmieg, Brody Schmieg, Kendra Schmieg, Emerson Schultz, Silas Schultz, Finnegan Schultz and Peyton Schmieg; and her siblings, Wendy Read (Rodger), Jennifer Shelton (Mike) and Ronnie Kalkes (Mindy). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends.
