He was predeceased by: his significant other Joyce Ober; his siblings, Anne Stark and Albert Ober; his sons, James Ober and Darrel Ober; and his grandson Shawn Ober.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Marie Ober; and his children, Michael Ober, Barbara Betournay (Jerry) and Patrick Ober. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
