She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Muro and Mary Muro; and her sister Delia Witten. She is survived by: her husband Duke Thornton; her children, Antonio, Kristy Ortega of California and Alicia Ortega of Texas; her stepdaughters, Carey Gardner and Jennifer Kennedy of Texas; her siblings, Irene (Henry Sutton), Grace (Larry Gaskey), Annette Muro, Oscar J. Muro and Edward (Stephanie Muro); and also Max. She is also survived by grandchildren.
