She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Santiago Lemas and Emilia Cepeda; her husband George Vernon Zachau; her children, Denise Zachau Gebes (Tom), David Zachau and Eric Zachau; her grandchildren, Elyse Gebes Ingham (Harry), Erin Gebes and Brandon Zachau; her great grandchildren, Rosie and Raegan Ingham; and her brother Manny Lemas (Lee).
