He is survived by: his siblings, Virginia Schmidt, Bud Schmidt, Lucille Barton and Marjorie Harper; his wife Peggy Schmidt; his children, Susan Schmidt Hilkemeyer (Stan) of Tucson and Thomas S Schmidt (Jenny) of Columbia, Illinois.; and his grandchildren, Scott, Tim, Emily and Daniel.
