He was predeceased by: his children, Guadalupe Alvarez and William Alvarez Godinez. He is survived by: his daughters, Guillermina "Mina" Godinez Alvarez (Barbarito), Irma Irene Godinez, Patricia Alvarez Godinez and Jeannette Godinez Martinez (Carlos); and his sister Maria "Bebe" Godinez. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
