He is survived by: his children, Ruben Melendez Jr., Edward Melendez and Aneli Melendez Gonzalez; his siblings, Jesus Adrian Melendez, Porfirio Melendez Tabarez, Alejandro Melendez, Maria Melendez, Martina Elena Melendez and Francisca Dolores Melendez; his grandson Isaiah R. Melendez; and his sisters, Mariah Melendez (Josiah Melendez), Aziriah Melendez (Santiago Melendez), Zoey M. Gonzalez (Nathan Gonzalez), Marlowe Rodriguez, London Martinez, Aries Melendez and Braylen Melendez.
