He is survived by: his wife Angelica Ortiz; his children, Jose Ruben Ortiz, Cynthia Mendoza (Edgar Mendoza) and Chelsea Carolina Ortiz; his siblings, Francisco Ortiz, Roberto Ortiz, Norma Ortiz, Alma Ortiz, Eva Ortiz, Maritza Ortiz and Marcela Ortiz; his mother Maria Eva Ortiz; and his grandchildren, Emma Ortiz, Emiliano Ortiz and Nicolas Mendoza.
