He is survived by: his children, Hector M Chavez Jr. (Vanessa) and Bania Hecht (Kevin); his grandchildren, Anthony Hecht, Camille Hecht, Brian Chavez and Isaih Chavez; and his siblings, Jorge Chavez, Jesus Chavez, Jose Luis Chavez, Lourdes Medina, Maria Chavez and Diana Chavez.
