He was predeceased by: his brother Luis Valdez; and his granddaughters, Elara Valdez and Elanie Valdez. He is survived by: his parents, Vicente Ruiz and Socorro Camacho; his children, Antonio Rea Valdez, Mark Anthony Valdez Jr., Angel Valdez, Rene Antonio Valdez, Crystal Valdez and Jose Valdez; his grandchildren, Reynitza Valdez Romeo Valdez, Evalyn Valdez and Louie Valdez; and his siblings, Vicente Valdez, Vicente Diaz Salazar, Jesus Ruiz, Victor Ruiz, Ana Contreras, Veronica Contreras and Imelda Ruiz.
