He is survived by: his spouse Diane E Ayers; his children, Richard C Ayers Jr. and Lori Anne Polk (Ayers); his stepdaughters, Arlene J Tarbuskovich and Janet L Amaral; his brother James Ayers; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Mark, Angela, Joshua, Andrew, Bradley, James and Matthew; his great grandchildren, Kenny, Courtney, Christopher, Miranda, Edwin, Connor, Aaliyah, Kolby and Kalli; and his pets, Nelli and Eskoshi.
The family invites donations in Richard's name to Cancer Research Fund.
