She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Newton and Fannie Newton (Howard); her husband James; her siblings, Arlene Newton, Fayrene Sharp and James Newton; and her son-in-law Will Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Davis of Phoenix, AZ, Olia Brown of Yukon, OK., Donna McGill (Dezo) and DJ Harris (Ursula) of Phoenix, AZ; and her siblings, Claudia Woods of Greenwood, MS. and Sammy Newton (Marie) of Mesa, AZ. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at the Bunker's Garden Chapel (33 N Centennial Way, Mesa, AZ 85201).
