He is survived by: his parents, Elizabeth Studer and Albert Studer; his siblings, Dolores, Marcelline, Julian and Walter; his grandson Kevin Hermansen; his son-in-law Pat McElveny; his spouse Muriel Carlson; his daughters, Sheila Hermansen (Gary), Sandy Burckhard (Duane) and Cindy McElveny (late Pat); his grandchildren, Kim LaValley, Tanya Domench (Jevon), Scott Burckhard (Kristin), Kyle Hermansen (Debbie), Mark Burckhard (Angela) and Tyson McElveny (Hayley); and also Brooke. He is also survived by 2 step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
