She is survived by: her children, Brent Smith (Jennie) and Tammy Smith (Eric Brice); her husband Milton Kane; her grandsons, Armani Wilson, Levi Smith, Caleb Smith and Drew Smith; her great grandchild Aiyana Evans; and her brother Ernie Kitchen (Linda). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many wonderful extended family.

“Milt, My family and I are so sorry to hear of your sudden loss of Jan. Our prayers go out to you and your family now and in the days to come. I was always impressed with her tree and table decorations that she changed so beautifully for the various holidays throughout the year. I admired the cross stitching she did so perfectly. I will always remember the coffee and cookie times we all had together over the years. Jan was a dear friend and neighbor and I will miss her. God bless from your neighbor, Boots and family.”
