It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Glenn Sorensen of Mesa, Arizona, born in Butte, Nebraska, who passed away on November 3, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Sorensen and Frieda Stroh Sorensen; his former wife Marilyn DeLosh; his brother William Allan Sorensen; and his stepson Dennis E. Wharton.
He is survived by: his wife Nellie Landis Wharton Sorensen; his children, Chris A. Sorensen of Mesa, AZ and Lisa J. Sorensen; his sister Nancy Bjorgo; his nephew Wade Sorensen (Corrine); his grandchild Ashley Wharton Wheeler (Justin); his great grandchildren, Indy, Gunnar and Brooklyn; his grandson Derek R Wharton (Emily); his great grandchild Madilyn; his grandson Zachary T Wharton; and his daughter-in-law Cindy Wharton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association and/or the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
