David Oldroyd Obituary
The memory of David Oldroyd in Mesa, Arizona, who passed away on January 6, 2025 at the age of 92, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Terry James Oldroyd and Josephine Herman Oldroyd; his brothers, James (Sammie), Herman "Bud" (Frankie) and Tom (Jean); and his former wife Margaret Joyce Fryer Oldroyd.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Wittke Oldroyd; and his children, Carrie Lynne Oldroyd Phelps (Richard), Douglas David Oldroyd (Jayne), Christine Oldroyd (Tom Giesen) and Richard James Oldroyd (Christine). He is also survived by his children and their spouses, nine grandchildren and spouses, seven great grandchildren, his brother and wife, and dozens of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Nelson Family Mortuary (4780 N University Ave, Provo, UT 84604). A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Provo City Cemetery (610 S State St, Provo, UT 84606). He volunteered at Banner Gateway Hospital for over 20 years, but was asked to retire at age 87 due to COVID precautions.
