He was predeceased by: his parents, Weldon Gaston and Charline Gaston; and his grandson Dustin Smith. He is survived by: his grandparents, Clyde and Grace; his wife Rose; his children, Clyde, Charline and Jessica; and his sister Charlotte.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Queen Valley Baptist Church or the Queen Valley Fire Department.
