Dennis and Aurea Jann Obituary
Former residents of Meadview, Arizona, Dennis Edward Jann Sr., 85, passed away from Alzheimer's on December 16, 2020 followed by his devoted wife of 61 years, Aurea Martha Jann, 79, who passed away just 12 days later on December 28, 2020.
Dennis was a true, dedicated Marine and served our country and his family with strength, love and loyalty. Dennis retired after 20 years in the USMC and served in Korea and Vietnam. He designed and built a custom home as a project all family members participated in. This was a lot hard work and Love that will forever be appreciated in our hearts. "Thank You, Dad" for all you have taught us and the courage to go through the toughest challenges in life!
Aurea was a dedicated wife and mother. Anyone who knew her knew how much she loved her Catholic faith, our country, the USMC and her husband and family. The most important parts of her days after raising her family, was spent loving and caring for her husband and practicing her faith. In her free time, she enjoyed playing Bingo and dining out regularly with her dear and closest friends in Meadview. Aurea was an immigrant and frequently spoke of her love for America, knew 4 languages and loved reminiscing about traveling the world during her work as a USMC purchasing agent. She was extremely proud to be the wife of a Marine.
Dennis and Aurea are survived by their children Emma (Dale) McFaul, Dennis (Pam) Jann, Sandra Jann, Shirley Swank and Walter (Tania) Jann and their grandchildren Joey and Alexandria Swank, Tristen Tafoya, Morgan McFaul, David, Samuel and Abigail Jann and Harmony and Lindsey Jann.
The family would like to express our thanks for the outpouring of love and support for our beloved parents. We know their lives mattered and made a difference to so many .
