He was predeceased by: his brothers, Robert Markowitz and Gene Martin. He is survived by: his wife Janet Markowitz; his son Steven Markowitz (Patricia); his stepson David Ingalls; his grandchildren, Andrew Markowitz (Sara), Leah Ackley (Dustin) and Evan Markowitz; and his great grandchildren, Nicholas Markowitz, Lucas Markowitz, Clare Ackley and Camden Markowitz.
