He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mason Clendon and Cora Opah Clendon; his brother Nathan Speedy Clendon; his siblings-in-law, Hazard Walker, Dorine Clendon and Nannie Walker; and his children, Veldon (Deborah Clendon), Randy (Theda Walker), Jonathan (Leona Clendon), Gary (Marna Joe), Rudy Clendon and Matthew (Marlinda Rustin). He was also cherished by 26 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
