He was predeceased by: his father Eufracio Tapia; and his siblings, Louie Tapia and Isabelle Tapia. He is survived by: his wife Juanita (Jenny); his daughters, Monica (Mark), Michelle (Coy) and Bailey (Tapia); his brothers, Raymond (Evelyn), Charles (Mary Ann) and Herbert Tapia (Veronica); his grandchildren, Marisa DelBosque (Kramer), Makayla Kramer and Mark Kramer; his grandson-in-law Emilio DelBosque; and his great grandchild Cameron DelBosque.
