He is survived by: his sister Shirley Freed; his daughters, Kimberly Egelin, Kristin Zastrow and Kourtney Woods; his sons-in-law, Randy Egelin, Bill Zastrow and Howard Woods; his grandchildren, Jake Meaney, Hayley Miller (Jake), Riley Egelin (Sabrina) and Kylie Zastrow Gavin Zastrow; his niece Wendy Mahowald; and his siblings, Jack Neaville, Joe Lechman and Virginia Heinrich.
There's a verse in the Bible, Matthew 59, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God" I believe that through his service he made a contribution to peace in his own small way.
