He was predeceased by: his parents, Kermit and Ruby; his son Gene Wheeler; his daughter-in-law Wendy Wheeler; and his siblings, Vernon, Cleo and Sandra.
He is survived by: his sons, Kermit, Kim, Shawn Wheeler of North Platte and Daryn Wheeler of Gering; his daughter-in-law Anne Wheeler of Glendale, AZ; his grandchildren, Gracie, Mason, Nathan and Brianna; his great grandchild Callie; and his siblings, Delbert Wheeler of Colorado Springs, CO, Linda Hobbs (Larry) and Margie (Bill). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
