He was predeceased by: his parents, Elfrieda Fisken and Louis Fisken; and his pets, Barney, Lobo and Max.
He is survived by: his wife Kaisu Fisken; his son James Fisken (Amy) of Shawano; his grandchildren, Brandi and Joshua Fisken of Shawano; his stepchildren, Chantal Cowan of Oconto Falls, Ashlee Marcus (Darren) of Toronto, Ontario and Will Trembley (Leanne); his stepgrandchildren, Jack, Zoe of Thunder Bay and Ontario; his former wife Audrey Fisken of Shawano; his siblings, Carole Nelson of Shawano and Dave Fisken (Pat) of Bonduel; and also, Michelle Johnston and Haylee of Appleton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials to Lamb of God Lutheran Church in John's name are preferred.
