He is survived by: his wife Sharon (Patterson); his daughters, Bryna Shefferly (Chris) and Heather Shannon (Chris Wentzlaff); his grandchildren, Max and Genevieve; his sister Donna Gorman (Phil); and his nieces and nephews, Kellee, Mike, Amy, Kyle and Ryan.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages planting a tree in honor of his beloved nickname, "Tree.".
