John Muir wrote a sympathy message

“I first met Jim through Carole who decided I should meet Jim and Diane and invited them to our house for a barbeque. The initial reaction between Jim and I was somewhat restrained and we let the girls do the talking. Time to cook the steaks and no starter fluid, so I poured gasoline on the charcoal, stood back and tossed a lit match. Whooph! Jim laughed and that was the beginning of a relationship that lasted a lifetime. My truly best friend and dearly missed. What wonderful times we had!! .”
