He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl McCullough and Mary McCullough (Wirachowsky); his wife Janice L. Troxell (Nelson); and his stepson Loren Nelson. He is survived by: his brother Neil McCullough (Pat); his niece Meghan Peterson (Drew); and his stepsons, Danial Nelson, Don Nelson and Lon Nelson.

Memorials may be made to the Huachuca City Senior Center.
