He was predeceased by: his parents, Juanita Lucero Maestas and Nestor Maestas; and his siblings, Vidal Maestas, Louis Maestas, Ned Maestas, Frankie Maestas, Ernest Maestas (Bunky), Martha Peralta, Genevieve Griego, Gloria Keeton and Madia Pergeson.
He is survived by: his children, Tanya Mock (Jim Mock), Rueben Maestas (Erin Maestas), Derek John, Lewis Maestas (Lauren Maestas) and Vidal Maestas (Jalynn Gishie); his grandchildren, Kristian Mock, Lily Mock, Mackenzie Maestas, Dane Maestas, Roman Maestas, Elisabeth Maestas, Tayo Maestas, Oliver Maestas and Raiden John; and his siblings, Leo Maestas, Andrew Maestas M. D. and Fella Baldwin. He is also survived by grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
