He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Mattner and Emilie Mattner; his wife Dawn Wachs; his siblings, Ozzie Mattner (Jo), Herb Mattner (Christine), Auggie Mattner (Lucille), Al Mattner, Ted Mattner (Sally), Hattie Strange (Dale) and Walter Mattner; and also, Edward and Louise Wachs.
He is survived by: his son Edward Mattner; his daughter-in-law Ella Fossum; his granddaughter Melody Mattner; his sisters-in-law, Donna Mattner and Sandy Mattner; and his daughter-in-law Joyce Mattner. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and great grandnieces and great grandnephews.
