He is survived by: his close friend Meriel Gooding of Green Valley, Arizona.; his daughter Beth Lash; his son-in-law Gary Cooper of Annapolis, Maryland; his son Michael; his daughter-in-law Dianne of Annapolis; his son Jason (Laura Smith) of Baltimore; and his grandsons, Evan, Sean Cooper, Nathaniel and Conner Lash.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to his favorite charities, the Nature Conservancy or Doctors Without Borders.
