He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Chavez Sr. and Luisa Chavez; and his sister Patricia Urquidi. He is survived by: his wife Camille; his daughter Linda R Chavez-Rojo (Ruben); his siblings, Margie Romero (Tony), Mary Lou Gonzalez (Joaquin), Richard, Eddie (Grace), Joe (late Cathy) and Willie Chavez; his grandson Angel Michael Chavez; and his stepgrandsons, Mateo and Milo Rojo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
