He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James L. Harris Sr. and Bessie Harris; his wife Karen Harris; his daughters, Cheryl Patton (Goodyear) and Carrie Hipskind (Goodyear); his stepchildren, Steve Messing of Pensacola, FL, John Messing of Pensacola, FL and Shannon Miller of Henderson, NV; and his brother Robert Harris of Huntsville, TX. He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Harris in 2010.A private service will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.The family suggests that donations be made to American Cancer Society.
