He is survived by: his wife Maria Luisa; and his children, Luisa Boren, Marta Lopez, Carmen Stemwedel, Diane Lopez and Marcos Lopez. He is also survived by his three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Higinio is preceded in death by his son, Armando Lopez.Services were held on January 20, 2021 at Louis B. Hazelton memorial cemetery in Buckeye, Arizona.The family suggests that donations be made to AZ Center for the Blind and Visually impaired, http://www.acbvi.org.
