He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Magdalene Daily and Joseph Roy Dant; his siblings, Robert Murphy, Betty, Joseph Benedict (Jean), James Dant and Ann; and also, Joseph and Frances Goysich.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Marie; his children, Marifrances Dant Bolger (David) of John's Island and Robert Joseph Dant (Kelly) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Lauren Bolger of New York, Michael Bolger of Philadelphia, Ross of Raleigh and Ryan Dant of Raleigh; and his siblings-in-law, D. Joan Dant of Vincennes and Vincent Goysich of Dallas. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
