He was predeceased by: his son Dennis; his parents, Clifford Knutson and Anna Knutson; his brother Clayton Knutson; his sister-in-law Donna Knutson; and his parents-in-law, Harry Anderson and Viola "Babe" Anderson.
He is survived by: his children, Peggy Grove (Harlow) of Climax, MN, Mark Knutson of Houston, TX and Michelle Moltzan (Scott) of Vero Beach, FL; his grandchildren, Jeremy Grove of Climax, Justin Grove of Lake Park, GA, Jenny Pederson (Andrew) of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Mariah Moltzan of Fargo, ND and Austin Moltzan of West Fargo, ND; his great grandchildren, Nora Pederson and Isla Pederson; and his nephews, Nancy Erickson (Dan) of Chisholm, MN, Curt Knutson (Kim) of Fisher, Rob Knutson of Steamboat Springs, CO and Scott Knutson (Bonnie) of Fisher. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in Mervin's name to the Fisher Lutheran Church.
