She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar V. Baker and Mary Jane Baker; her former husband Alden Wright; her children, Randy Wright and Sharon Wright Bassett; and her siblings, Curtis Baker, Vernon Baker, Freida Baker and Katherine Baker.
She is survived by: her husband Ben Smith of Globe; her son Larry Wright, Sr. of Flagstaff; and her grandchildren, Tammy, Shauna, Susan, Laurie, Larry Jr. and Randy Jr.. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any hospice organization in Velma's name.
