He was predeceased by: his son Gilbert; his mother Maria Lugo; and his brothers, Frank Placencia (Poncho) and Henry Placencia. He is survived by: his wife Romula R.; his sons, John (Carmen) and Roy (Teri); his daughter-in-law Terri Placencia; and his sister Lucy Lucas. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
