He was predeceased by: his parents, George Starr Sr. and Edith Colelay-Starr; his siblings, Lenora Robertson, Carmelita Goseyun, Geraldine Chatlin, Leo Starr, Abel Starr and Michael Starr; and his sons, Darrell Starr and Terrill Starr.
He is survived by: his daughters, Serena Lavender and Georgie Preston. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren, his 10 great-grandchildren, and his 3 great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends.
