It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry L. Gurule of Glendale, Arizona, born in Belen, New Mexico, who passed away on October 20, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Reynaldo "Rey" Gurule and Gregorita "Gloria" Gurule (Jaramillo); his former wife Martha Gurule; his grandparents, Jacobo, Valentina Gurule (Moore), Alberto and Lucia Jaramillo (Tafoya); and his brother Larry Gurule.

He is survived by: his wife Christine Gurule (Wynne); his brothers, Mike Gurule of Bowling Green and Jacob Gurule of Los Alamos; his stepchildren, Tara Waterman (Danny), Jessica Haptonstall of Avondale, Craig Haptonstall (Toyin) of Phoenix and Kelly Haptonstall of Peoria, Arizona.; his grandchildren, Ashley Sauerwein (James), Matthew Gurule (Brenna Nunes), Caleb Gurule, Logan, Martina and Jacob Bernhardt; his stepgrandchildren, Danika, Gracelynn Waterman, Robbie, Jaelyn Smith, Greysen, Colton Haptonstall, Jazelle, Isaiah Ortiz and Cristian Ojeda; his nieces, Marie Andrea Tomlinson (Chris), Margaret Anne Leyva (Tim) and Stephannie Gurule; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Marisa Gurule (Brennan Posen), Marcus Martinez, Joseph Leyva (Alicia) and Martha Leyva.
