Carol Ann Booker Obituary

Carol Ann Richardson (Booker), 78, of Glendale, Arizona, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, at the Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born on Tuesday, April 18, 1944, to the late Monroe and Mary Cecilia Richardson in New York City, New York. The family moved to Long Island where she attended Riverhead High School: then furthered her education at Suffolk County Community College in 1984-1985.

Carol was employed with The City of Newark, New Jersey until 1977, Garsten Motors of Riverhead from 1984 – 1989. She married Joe and relocated to Arizona with her husband where she was employed as a Warranty Administrator with Bell Honda From 1990 – 2007.

Carol is preceded in death by her husband of 17 years Mr. Joseph Johnson Booker Sr. 1925-2005, Son in law Darnell Favors 1967-2004, Sisters Thelma Ruth Richards (James) of Riverhead NY, Cecelia Margaret Tyre of Bronx, NY and Brother Gregory Jerome Richardson of Phoenix, AZ, and grandson in law John W. Wilborn V of Las Vegas NV. She leaves to mourn daughters Angela Mayo of Raleigh, N.C. and Selena Favors of Glendale, AZ, grandchildren Ryan Mayo and his wife Katie, Nhadiah Favors, Ramon Mayo, Sophiah Favors, Roman Favors, Joseph Schwing, and great granddaughter Anorah Wilborn, siblings Barbara Gaskin, Brett Richardson, and Yvonne Dixon, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will also be missed by her beloved chihuahua, Chica.

A visitation for Carol will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 North 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 7924 North 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301. A reception will occur Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Chapel of Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N.59th.
