He was predeceased by: his parents, Orvel McSwain Johnston and Mary Furr. He is survived by: his significant other Careen Simpson; his children, David Johnston (Sherry), Steven Johnston (Amber), Brian Johnston (Connie), Karen Johnson (Karl) and Lisa Nicholes (Steven); and his siblings, Duane Johnston (Pamela), Jana Parker Lee and Reed Johnston (Shirley). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren.
