He was predeceased by: his parents, W. Lynn Voelz and Bunel Chrisman Voelz; his wife Eleanor Vera Dudley; his sons, Kevin Voelz and Bart Voelz; and his brother Bob Voelz.

He is survived by: his children, Teresa Voelz and Beverly Allen (Steve); his sister SueAnn Janes; his grandchildren, Max Voelz, Tasha Voelz, Zack Voelz, Jon Voelz (Amity), Heidi DeBard (Kevin), Rocky Lamb (Amy) and Brookelynn Hogge (Samuel); and his close friend Betty Poteet.
