He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Wanda J. Edwards, Julie A. Cooper (Van), Vannessa E. Moses (William), Cynthia K. Payne (Eric) and Rasheem F. Edwards; his brothers, Merlin Edwards Sr. (Marissa) and Issac Carter; and his godchildren, Byron Johnson and Quinnise Pettway. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
