Evelyn Rose (nee Doffek) Stade.
Evelyn R. Stade, 97, was called from this life on December 30, 2022, while at Heritage Memory Care in Menomonee Falls. Evelyn R. Doffek was born on February 25, 1925, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to her parents John M Doffek and Edna (nee Seifert) Doffek. She was baptized into the Christian faith at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was confirmed on March 17, 1940, at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She married Charles Lawrence Valleau on January 12, 1946. He died on August 9, 1963. She married Donald H. Stade on June 15, 1968. He died on February 13, 1998.
Evelyn lived and worked in the Milwaukee area. She worked for Kolmar Laboratories until her retirement. After retirement she and her husband Don lived in Florence, Arizona. In 2001, she moved back to Menomonee Falls. Over the years she enjoyed gardening, sewing, golf, snowmobiling, playing cards and other games, and especially appreciated becoming closer to her children and grandchildren after moving back to Wisconsin.
She is survived by her son Rev. Dennis (Claudia) Valleau of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, her daughter Donna (Albert, Jr.) Kroening of Sussex, Wisconsin; step-daughter Donna Stade; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, including spouses, step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by both her husbands, five brothers, two sisters, and one step-grandson.
